A few years ago a smooth salesman talked Queensland contractor Gary Brieschke into buying a competitive brand instead of another New Holland to replace his NH 665 skid steer.
He has since sold the competitive machine and come back to New Holland without even considering other brands. He is now happily operating an L175 skid steer.
Brieschke recalls his experience with the other brand, "Power wise the machine specs were similar, but the visibility of the other brand was very poor and it was much higher to get in and out of.
"You drive the machine around the lot at the dealership but you don’t always notice those things till you’re on the jobsite. The bucket set up of the competitive brand was much weaker than his old New Holland had been.
“I was on a job one day removing tree stumps and the whole bucket just fell off. The frame got twisted and it cost a considerable amount to repair. The L175 is much easier and more comfortable to operate and much more rugged,” he says.
