Hugh Morris retired from the Crane Industry Council of Australia (CICA) Board, effective 23 February 2009.

Morris was on the Board as a CICA appointed director, but was first elected to the CICA Board on 2 September 1998. He has devoted himself to progressing CICA (at a Board level) for over 10 years. Morris has been recognised for his contribution to CICA and the crane industry and was awarded the Con Popov Memorial Award in 2006.

He also served many years with the Victorian Crane Association (VCA), and was VCA president from 1994 to 2000 and vice president from 2000 to 2006.
