A mutually beneficial partnership was the key to making Baulderstone’s new corporate headquarters a success, managing director Rick Turchini announced in launching the company’s new head offices.

Joined by the Premier of NSW, Nathan Rees, Turchini signalled a new direction for the Australian building industry icon. “At Baulderstone we know that the only way to truly make a relationship work is to make sure that all parties involved in a transaction derive a real benefit out of their participation.

There can be no losers, it just doesn’t work in the long run – the old fashioned, adversarial way of doing business is dead”, Turchini declared. Baulderstone had not only designed and built Stockland’s $100 million Triniti Business Campus – but had followed it up by becoming an anchor tenant.

“At the time we were in the process of searching for new office accommodation as our lease had expired in North Sydney. The two parties got together, Baulderstone became the anchor tenant and was awarded the building contract. It truly was a win-win outcome,” Turchini said.

The development is now almost complete with three fully tenanted buildings, boasting blue chip tenants like Baulderstone, EDI Downer, CSR and Goodman Fielder.

“It is an absolute credit to the relationship between the two parties that we have been able to achieve all of this despite being hit by the GFC. But that would not have been possible had both sides not been utterly committed to each other.”

Baulderstone’s new corporate headquarters is designed to achieve a 4.5 Green Star Rating.
