Faulty EWP leads to permanent injury

11 February 2010 | THE owner of a Broome resort has been fined $60,000 over an incident in 2006 that left an employee permanently disabled. Soon after the Squirrel motor was restarted, the EWP began to shudder, became unstable and toppled over. An inspection concluded that at the time of the incident the EWP could not be used safely because of its poor condition.
